Google AR Beauty

I led the UX team in expanding our augmented reality (AR) technology into new categories, including lips, foundation, and hair color try-ons. This innovation empowers beauty shoppers to instantly see how different shades from brands like L’Oréal, Splat, and Revlon look on them, right from their mobile devices. Recognizing that beauty is highly personal—especially when it comes to color and tone—my team designed a visually rich, personalized experience to create best-in-class user journeys.

Beyond the option to view foundation shades on a diverse set of 148 models, users can now virtually try these products on themselves, ensuring a more authentic and inclusive experience.

IMPACT: By combining technology and thoughtful design, my team created an experience that helps them feel more confident in their choices and ultimately driving greater satisfaction with their purchases. These features have been scaling to more categories with greater coverage to delight users, drive conversion, and reduce returns.
