Google Shopping
Discover + Personalization

Discover: When we began our journey to create more elegant onramps to discover shopping experiences on Google, we focused on serendipitous discovery. Have you ever found yourself scrolling through a feed and suddenly wondering “where can I buy this?”. The Discover feed personalizes relevant articles and now, shopping recommendations based on your search history.

Personalization: Shoppers want everything to be tailored to their needs, offering not only delight (more not more of the same) but also control and the ability to simplify complexity. 50% of consumers say personalization based on their interests and past purchases has influenced their decision to purchase. Our UX team designed implicit and explicit personalization signals to design better experiences for our users.

IMPACT: Increase engagement, helpfulness and higher quality clicks to products and merchants.
